Ecology in practice
I got my Doctoral degree in freshwater ecology in January 2018. In my thesis I studied the taxonomic and functional organization of macroinvertebrate communities in subarctic streams. After that I have gotten a little sidetracked from “pure research” as I am currently working as an environmental planner in a growing city in Southern Finland. In my job, I have had the opportunity put my knowledge about ecology into practice.
I get easily excited about new stuff and often find myself struggling with the thought that I just dont´t have enought time to learn and do everything I would like.
